Happy Birthday to you

Good morning, Joy here posting a card that was made using some great supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such.  Some days ago I posted a card for a sunflower challenge with a Happy Birthday sentiment.  This is the card I made using the background left over from the sentiment.
I backed it with a piece of blue card stock and layered that on top of some beautiful paper from Graphic 45 called Botanical Tea.  It has some gorgeous paper in blue, green, pink and a pretty creamy brown.  The Happy Birthday Background die is from Poppy Stamps.  I used some Egg Shell Seam Binding and then placed a little flower called Sugar Blooms in the middle of the bow.  These are so very, very light with a little sprinkling of glitter.  There are 10 different colors in a package.

If it's your birthday, consider this a Happy Birthday wish for you.  I hope you have a great day with ice cream and cake!  Thanks for looking at my card.  Have a HAPPY stamping day.

Happy Sunflower

Hi, Joy here showing you a card I made with supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such for this week's challenge.
I used paper from Simple Stories Harvest Lane and Graphic 45's Botanical Tea.  The die is from Spellbinders Oval Nested Medallion Label Die and the stamp set from Just Rite called Botanical Medallions & Banners.  It has 4 different flowers - so it will be a stamp set I can use often.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from a Poppy Stamps die called Happy Birthday Background - in a few weeks you will see how I used the die as a background.  The two little banners are cut from the Simple Stories paper and the Classic Ribbons die from Poppy Stamps.

It would be so nice for you to join in the challenge.  You can go to Classy Cards 'n Such. blogspot.com and see all the particulars.  Why not challenge a friend to join you?  There is always a nice prize for the winner.

I'll be looking to see your entries for the challenge.  Thanks for looking at my card.  Have a HAPPY stamping day.

Riding Pretty with Classy Cards 'n Such

Today it's Joy here.  Classy Cards 'n Such has so many stamp sets that I like.  Often I get stuck on one - in fact it might borderline OCD - but that's ok, I'm having fun!  Here is a card I made with one of those stamp sets that I'm stuck on.
The stamp set is called Riding Pretty by Impression Obsession.  It has a companion die set called Bicycle Die Set.  For this card I only used the flower die to put into the basket.  The paper is from Vintage Bliss by Simple Stories.  The tiny flag is from a die by Poppy Stamps.  I used Spellbinders Matting Basics B for the mats.  I have a little trouble getting my mats square - even though I use a good cutter - so the Spellbinders Matting Basics A and B are life savers for me!  They stay out on my desk.  I used the Small Joy Foam Pads to pop up the little flower bouquet.  Check out the Riding Pretty Stamp set - it is a great set and I know you will love using it as much as I do.

Have a HAPPY stamping day.

God Bless You from Classy Cards 'n Such

Good Morning! Joy here today.  Have you even gotten up in the morning and just felt very blessed?  I did this morning, just woke up with a smile and a good feeling in my heart.  Not every day is like that - this past year or so, our family has gone thru some tough days, but despite hardships, I know I'm blessed.
One of my blessings is Classy Cards 'n Such - this is a great company with beautiful paper supplies.  I made this card with some of their products and I'm putting this card in my car and today as I'm running my errands, I'll give it to somebody - maybe the girl at the dry cleaners or the lady who checks out my groceries.

I used a beautiful stamp by B Line Designs called Garden Rose, colored it with a few Tim Holtz Distress Markers and fussy cut it out.  Then I mounted it on a Spellbinders Die called Labels Eighteen which I then popped up with some Large Joy Foam Pads on a piece of designer paper from the 6x6 pad called The Lake House by Kaiser Kraft and the perfect brown is from Graphic 45's Botanical Tea.  The sentiment of God Bless You by Our Daily Bread was stamped on one of the little die cuts in the 6x6 The Lake House pad.  There are several pages of cute die cuts in the pad

Thank you for looking at my card, I hope you have a HAPPY stamping day!

Blue on Blue at Repeat Impressions

Hello friends! I think I'm finally getting over my long vacation!  Whew... I need a vacation from my vacation!  One of the fun things I did was visit with Wendy and Bill owners of Repeat Impressions.  I also had along my sweet friend and fellow Rock Star Designer Melissa Cash.  Here we are at one of Wendy's favorite hangouts.
The blues in our shirts go right along with the challenge for this week - called blues on blue!  So here is my card
I used the stamp called Morning Glories and the sentiment Thinking of you...

Why not join us in the challenge?  You could win a nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions!  Just make a card with blues, link it on Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built and look for your name to be drawn!  You don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps, but if you do, your name will go into the drawing twice!  We sure would like for you to show us how you use Repeat Impressions stamps.

Thanks for looking at my card - have a HAPPY stamping day!

Praying for you card

Hello there, today it's Joy and I'm showing you a real QUICK card I made with some supplies from Classy Cards 'n Such.  I'm sending a book to a friend and thought I'd make a little bookmark to go with it.  Here is the card and bookmark all in one.

I stamped the Damask Treat Bag onto a piece of pink polka dot paper from the 6x6 pad called Soft Shades Double Dot Designs by BoBunny and cut an extra 1/4 inch on the two sides and along the bottom which I folded over and put 1/4 inch Score Tape onto and then put that onto the cream/brown colored script paper from Botanical Tea.  This made a little pocket.  I cut along the top part of the Damask Treat Bag so that I could slip the little bookmark right into the little faux bag.  I used a piece of scrap designer paper to stamp the little "Praying for you" sentiment which is from Ornate Frame Sentiments by Our Daily Bread Designs.  I love this stamp set  because it has 21 positive sentiments that just seem to fit in perfectly to so many of my cards.  I mounted this on top of a brown piece of card stock and that onto a card base.  I guess really I didn't have to this this last step, but wanted to write a few words to let her know how important she is to me.

The name of the book I'm sending her is Orphan Train by Christina Kline - AMAZING read!

Be sure to check out the supplies I used at Classy Cards 'n Such.  Thank you for looking at my card, have a happy stamping day!

What If Wednesday at Repeat Impressions

Every other Wednesday Wendy, owner of Repeat Impressions challenges us to a sketch.  This is the sketch for this week
Here is my take on the sketch
I used one of my lighthouse stamps called (small) Nubble Light and my watercolors - on a plain piece of card stock.  I left a greeting off, thinking I'd add one at the last minute.

Check out what the other Rock Star Designers made, then make one to show us.  Check out all the details on Wendy's blog, The House That Stamps Built.  You could be the winner of a nice gift certificate from Repeat Impressions.

Keep Calm and Enjoy the Summer with Classy Card 'n Such

Hi, Joy today!  It seems like my summer is just flying by!  Classy Cards 'n Such has a cute stamp set that I just had to use today to remind me how fast summer is leaving!

The bike is from the stamp set called Riding Pretty from Impression Obsession.  After stamping it was cut out with the companion die called Bicycle Die Set.  I used Spellbinders Matting Basics A for the matts.  The pretty little gingham paper is from Graphic 45 called Secret Garden. After coloring the bike, I covered it with Glossy Accents so it would shine.  I then used the Small Joy Foam Pads to make the bike stand out.

This stamp set has cute, cute things to add to the basket - a bunny, hearts, presents, flowers and a Christmas tree!  So many way to use the bike!

Thanks for looking at my card - I hope your summer allows you time to keep calm and enjoy the days!

Have a Happy stamping day.

Gingham Classy Cards 'n Such style

Joy here, today at Classy Cards 'n Such Beverly challenged us to show off some gingham.  - One of my favorite patterns - just look in my closet and you will see!

Here is my card:
The paper is from Secret Garden by Graphic 45 and the sentiment is from Inky Antics called Mighty Tower.  I made the flower called Mini Petals by Susan's Garden from and colored it like a pansy.  Susan Garden Tool Kit  allows me to make the flower  very quickly.  A die called Beach Sprig by Memory Box was added to the back of the flower.  I stamped the sentiment and cut out with Spellbinders Labels Eighteen.

We would like to see what you would do a this Gingham Challenge.  Why not challenge a friend to play along with you - one of you could win a great gift from Classy Cards 'n Such.  Make your project and link it on the Classy Cards 'n Such Blog.

Thanks for looking at my card - I'll be watching to see your projects.
